Althea Volper grew up in Boxford, Massachusetts, and received her Bachelor's Degree, cum laude, in Government and Spanish from Skidmore College. She went on to earn her law degree from Brooklyn Law School, where she served as an Executive Board Member of the Moot Court Honor Society.

Prior to joining Healey, Deshaies, Gagliardi & Woelfel, Ms. Volper advocated on behalf of the City of New York at the Environmental Control Board, the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings, and the Board of Standards and Appeals. Her work covered a range of legal issues relating to Zoning, Land Use, Local Laws, and Building and Housing Code compliance. Most recently, as Assistant General Counsel to the New York City Loft Board, Ms. Volper worked with architects, engineers, and zoning specialists to legalize commercial and industrial buildings for residential use.

Ms. Volper is a member of the American, Massachusetts, and Essex County Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York.

Ms. Volper moved to Amesbury with her husband and son in 2015, and enjoys volunteering at Our Neighbors' Table and supporting community activities at the Amesbury Library.
