Heather J. Lacey grew up in Danvers, Massachusetts, and received her Bachelor's Degree, magna cum laude, in Political Science and Ethnic & Gender Studies from Westfield State University. During her third year of attendance at Westfield State University, she was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. In addition, she became a member of the political science honor society, Phi Sigma Alpha, to which she went on to serve as President for the school's chapter. She received the Adrienne Rich Award and was inducted as a Sankofa Scholar for her work both inside and outside the classroom for gender equality. While attending Westfield State University she served as a member to the Queer Straight Alliance and was given the honor of becoming a Rainbow Graduate.

She went on to earn her law degree from New England Law Boston, where she served as both Representative for the Executive Committee for Public Service, and Associate Editor of Due Process. She also volunteered as a student attorney working with the legal clinics at Healing Abuse Working for Change (HAWC) during her law school career.

Prior to joining Healey, Deshaies, Gagliardi & Woelfel, Attorney Lacey has gained significant experience in the family law field both in her positions both as a legal assistant and associate attorney. Her work has covered a range of legal issues relating to divorce, child custody, alimony, and modifications.

Attorney Lacey is a member of the Boston, and Essex County Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.

Attorney Lacey moved to Peabody with her husband in 2015. She enjoys competing in outdoor swimming events and connecting with her community.
